A place for the next question.
Discussion guidelines and editorial-use choices.
Questions worth pursuing
Comments are a place to ask a question, offer a counterexample, or point to evidence that could change an article’s interpretation. Disagreement is welcome. Address the argument, not the person. Reader comments are not verified findings or individual medical advice.
Sign-in without a public real name
Reading is open. Discussion participation is for adults aged 18 or older. Commenting, replying and liking use the same ChatGPT sign-in as topic follows. You choose a display name; do not use a private email address. We do not publish account IDs or email addresses. Sign-in does not verify someone’s legal identity, qualifications or expertise. Passwords are handled by the sign-in provider, not this site.
Review before publication
All comments and replies are held for editorial approval. We may withhold or hide harassment, spam, impersonation, confidential information, personal data or infringement. Please use the report action or contact us if a public comment is problematic. At editorial updates, review tools may flag concerns with reasons; the operator makes the final publication, removal and restriction decisions. Review is not continuous and no immediate response is guaranteed. External AI processing will not begin until the data-handling checks described below are complete. A like is a reader reaction, not a scientific validation.
What not to post
Do not post patient records, identifiable health information, personal contact details, unpublished confidential research, trade secrets, or substantial text copied from papers or other publications. Use your own short explanation and identify the public source instead. Do not submit instructions designed to manipulate the site or its editorial tools.
Your contribution and its use
You retain rights to your original contribution. By posting, you confirm that you may share it and permit Bream Research Group to store, display and moderate it for this discussion. This permission is non-exclusive. We do not acquire ownership of your research or sell a raw comment database. Material quotation or other reuse beyond this purpose requires an appropriate legal basis or separate permission.
Optional AI-assisted editorial use
A separate, initially unchecked option lets you allow an approved comment to be considered alongside articles and sources when identifying open questions, counterarguments and possible future insights. Refusal does not prevent posting. The editor must verify evidence and decide what to publish. The research export excludes account IDs and display names, but free text can still identify people: never put personal or confidential information in it. This release prepares an editor-only export; it does not automatically send comments to an external AI service, train a model or sell individual reader profiles. Before an external AI workflow starts, its provider and data-use settings must be explained and any additional permission obtained.
Restrictions and appeals
Criticism, disagreement, or an unpopular scientific hypothesis alone is not a reason for a Ban. Spam and scams, malicious links, impersonation, targeted harassment or threats, exposure of personal information, rights infringement, repeated rule violations and evasion of restrictions may lead to withholding or hiding a comment, deleting its text, or restricting the account. We normally act proportionately; serious harm may justify immediate restriction without a warning. Ban decisions are made by the operator, with a reason recorded—not by an AI score or the number of reports alone. An account restriction prevents new comments, likes and reports, and hides that account's existing comments and replies to them; it does not delete the ChatGPT account or block article reading. Your own deletion and AI-permission withdrawal remain available. Email the contact below to appeal, identifying the comment or restriction and your reasons, without sending passwords, identity documents or medical records. We reconsider factual mistakes and restore access where warranted. Restrictions are reviewed at least annually.
Technical safeguards and incident reports
We use sign-in and owner-only management access, plain-text comments, length and posting-rate limits, checks against cross-site requests, and non-public audit records. These reduce risk but cannot eliminate abuse or guarantee uninterrupted service. Report vulnerabilities privately to our contact; do not post attack instructions or another person's data in public. If a personal-data incident occurs, the operator will contain it, assess the scope and make notifications required by applicable law.
Changing your choice
Your own comments include controls to withdraw AI-use permission or delete the text. Deletion and withdrawal remove the contribution from subsequent research exports; they cannot automatically recall copies previously obtained by other readers or already-published independent articles. Contact us if an earlier use needs review. The account controls below export your discussion records or remove your comment text and likes. Minimal thread and safety records may remain; see the privacy notice.
Your comments and likes
These controls apply to the signed-in account, not optional reading analytics or saved topic follows.
